/Vote! Vote!/

Today's papers released the news that both me & Abah have been waiting for. Finally we get a possible chance to cast our votes (if these people never screw up in submitting the paperwork during nomination day). After staying in Jalan Besar GRC since 2001, we did not get to vote on anything (except that one time over the MUP thingy). Previously, when we stayed in our old estate, there was at least some actions esp during the rallies. The best part was we get to watch the action from our bedroom window.

I wish the current MP for my ex-home area will win for 6th time straight. Not that I am against the ruling party but I personally think that the new guy has yet to prove himself! There's no warmness in him (since I did get to meet him & talk to him personally). Certainly not appealing to me but might be a hit among the older folks. Slight lack of charisma compared to the older man. I still prefer those oldies whom you can see & feel the warmness when they address you no matter where. Ha ha..we even get to meet him when we went holidaying in Perth in 1997.

Should the older one be defeated, we would not be able to get to watch out for his Red Beatle very often. I still missed those times when we joined him in the kite flying events. Now that particular field which we used to hangout together has been taken over by the younger man. Must pay rent some more!!!

Anyway, may the best man wins.

My boys are unaware that on the 27th April, they no need to go to school since their school is one of the nomination centres. YAHOOOO!!!

/Chit Chat with a Perthian/

Last night, instead of slogging in front of the PC, our friend, Shaffiq, called to ask if we want to meet his sister's friend from Perth who's here visiting. Apa lagi..grab the chance lah even though its late plus we had to wait for the kids to finish their Kumon at 9.30 pm.

From the 2-hour session, banyak juga we learn from the husband and wife who has stayed there for almost 10 over years. Even in Perth, within the Malay community pun ada faction. They hailed from the north part which consists international Malays...such as Christmas Island, M'sia and so on. But the south side pula, Singaporeans Malays will congregate and the sad thing is that they don't seems to mix around freely.

They have a mosque there called - Rivervale Mosque. Popular with Singaporeans. But YAHOO news...dah banyak makanan halal there. The last time I went there's only one in the city but now according to Kak Rahimah, there's quite a number already. Kids's school fees in public school cost only A$10 per year plus the mother will get children allowance every month. Not bad juga!! Now kena build contact lah..but since Shaffiq is going there first, quite senang sikit for us.

/What am I??/

I think my kidz are confused about me..

Danish thought that I am a housewife (he drew my picture and wrote a short passage about me..hmmm)

Muhammad said that I am ALMOST a housewife. Not here nor there.

Sabryna knows nothing except nowadays she's quite happy to be send to school late. I get to let her wake up at 9 am instead of the usual 6.30 am. So she is less cranky nowadays and no more crying sessions along the way.

My lady bozz called me the 'desperate' housewife. Not sure what it means to her but I am definitely not that desperate although before that I was desperately seeking for time alone for myself.

Since last year was a hectic year for all of us coz they didn't get to see me quite often, I have actually switched my working hours. I get to come to work late and still be back by the evening. However, one setback is that..I tend to be behind the computer after dinner til midnight or so. But I do get to take a break in between to watch CSI or 'chase' the kidz to bed. Daytime, if there's no appointment for me or I need to come in late into the office, I get to drop by AMORE for my workout.

Quite complicated to explain the nature of my working life. I shall leave it to be a mystery to my kidz. As long as they get to see and spend time with me, that's all for them to know.

/Welcome to Muthu's Curry/

We simply love Muthu's Curry. The fish head curry is not hot or 'muak' either. Plus Danish enjoys eating it so much. So much so that the 2nd time we came down with my bosses (deret Anis) and my buddy (who works in the same building as me), Sabryna was instantly recognised by one of the waiters.

/Girls Weekend/

After a few weeks of planning & last minute decision to go, me & Lin headed up to KL using her friend's friend's car. Well...its not as if she does not have one but hers is TOYOTA RAV 4 (hot car for car nappers). Some more kita dua pompuan aje with no body guards.

So left S'pore at about 9 pm on Fri night. Si Zac (who's based in KL) asyik sms asking when are we going to leave. She's worried that we going to reach KL late since she got to pick us up from Sungei Besi Toll. Ok..our fault..being to her place many times but does not seem to remember exactly where..

Lin drove non-stop to & from KL which was good since we will not be tired. We saw accidents along the way involving 2 S'pore cars & 2 M'sia cars. Lucky no one hurt although the cars were in terrible shape. Upon returning journey, there was a storm. So scary (for me, that is) since there were thunder & lightning.

We stayed at Cititel and this was the first time we did not head down to KL centre or even KLCC. Why??? The Mid Valley Shopping Centre betul punya besar. Enough to keep us occupied. Apa lagi?? Shopping sakan & makan sakan!!

Only got one funny story..I suggested that we go for a massage. So we went to Health Spa at the hotel. Sampai sana...the people macam tak layan aje. One guy said there's no massage for girls only facials. Just when I wanted to open my mouth to ask why so biased...si Lin suggested we went off. So in the lift...she revealed that the massage for guys got special one!!! Lah..padan lah but kind of cheap leh..(RM100 for 1 hour massage). So in the end, I ended up massaging these 2 girls in the hotel room (but no special!!!)

Ok father & kids were doing perfectly well while I'm gone. Muhammad said he did not missed me at all since it was a short trip. Danish..no response from him. Sabryna..happy to go jalan-jalan with Mak & Co. Only dear Abah!! Kept smsing me especially reminding three of us not to be naughty. Aiyoh!! Kita dah tua lah!! Club hopping has no more appeal to us. He couldn't even sleep well that Sat nite but refused to say that he was worried. Anyway..for our next trip (don't know when!!)..we planned to go to Langkawi. But Abah said what make me so sure I can go with his permission. Well!! I am going to make sure I deserve it so that no questions asked!
