/Happy Teacher's Day/

Yeah..tomorrow is Teacher's Day..a day for Abah to reflect what he has been doing for the past 8 years. Anyway..presents this year includes Famous Amos cookies (from principal), a potted plant, a big stapler (we need those in this house very much) and a key chain. This year not much presents from the students, probably recession year for them.

How the kids celebrate Teacher's Day in schools today...

1) Muhammad had a party going on in school today so he wanted to bring keropok. But morning, he left it behind when he went down to take the school bus. Lucky Danish was able to pass to him in time.

2) Sabryna brought 1 box of Ferrero Roche to child care. But she did managed to plead to open it and take one for herself. When asked to hand it personally to the teacher, she got the cheek to say that she is a very shy girl...NOT!!

3) Last but not least, Danish. When he heard the rest talking about what they going to do in schools last night, he said.."Only me got no celebration." in as-a-matter-of-factly manner. Yeah..mak confirmed that this year, there were no sight of Danish's friends giving flowers or cards. Anyway, this year will be his last year at the PAP.

I remembered my old school days. Since I did not like the teachers and did not want to be 'plastic', I had never gave any of them anything. However, I did wished each and every one of them to have an enjoyable years ahead with us rascals!! Not sure where they are now but 3 of my Primary 1,2 & 3 teachers (Mrs Wong, Mrs Singh and Mrs Seow) are still teaching at Muhammad's school and they still look the same.

Anyway....to all the TEACHERS in the family...wishing you a HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY.

/WELCOME TO MY GARDEN/

Dear All
We would like to welcome you guys to our mini garden...used to have an orchid garden 2 years back but because of the MUP, all went dead!!! So we have started a new one...take a look!

The garden at our mini balcony include 2 money plants hanging (so that we have lots of money), 2 jungle bush (one fully grown and another one still a baby), mosquito plant, purple plant, pandan, lemon balm, red flower (not sure of the name) and pink daisy. (Note : 3x..you want a pink daisy, can sell you for free!)

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, we have rosemary, bamboo plant, another herb (can't remember the name but apparently people use for cooking), chilli padi plant (abah kept plucking it almost everyday)...latest addition was Muhammad's taugeh plant. His friend gave it to him yesterday so I just repotted it nicely.

Everyday at 6 am, after waking up the rest of the sleepyheads...I water the plants. Last Sunday, my mosquito plant 'merajuk' i think coz I watered it almost 11 am. Sabryna likes to see the plants and talks about them. But we noticed that although we have the mosquito plant used for repelling mosquitoes, we still have mosquitoes attacking us at night.

Yati..this one is for you (just in case si 3x never get one). Happy 8th Wedding Anniversay.

/Farewell parties & goodbye to Nyonya/

What a busy weekend it was...our stomachs had to work extra hours from all those eating sempena 11 people birthdays in August plus farewell parties for Nyonya before she flew to Oman.

1) Saturday - Spent the day @ Chai Chee with Mak Mi cooking for us Mee Soto (Nyonya's fave). We had to layan grandma until she became very tired so that she could sleep peacefully at night and not disturb the rest of the people. (like small kid!!) Mak Busu happened to drop by so the house was very noisy with her voice. She got one thousand & one story to tell plus she went back to work at JW NLB. Ha ha...we going to make those trips to see her soon even though she said no!!

2) Sunday - Wak Dir decided to host the impromptu get together at the very last minute. Got briyani, spaggethi, laksa and Pepsi. Abah got to recruit members to his 'Sotong Club'. Targeted 1 but eventually got SM (Bak Jat), VP (JJ), Treasurer (Arin who volunteered to join without knowing the details) plus in-house cook (Yati...hahaha). They had a brief meeting (agaknya planning the 1st AGM kot).

Next morning....around 3.45 am..

Bak Don & Achik were there earlier than us. Aisyah woke up so got to drag her to the airport. We thought there would not be anybody at the airport but alas...the students leaving for Mesir were also leaving on the same flight. So very the kecoh..we even met Hakim who sent off his friend. Achik so funny..can still ask Hakim ni anak siapa??? Can join the club too..

We did not have to wait that long..so before 5 am..nyonya went in and all of us went back to catch some more sleep before going to work.

Nyonya kena hug by Achik until the face turned kereput...ha ha ha...just look at the policeman's face (nak ketawa pun ada!!).

Latest update through sms...she reached her villa surrounded by padang pasir. Can only go to town 2x in a month so internet cafe got to wait. Got security guards (kata military base..mestilah ada guard).

/CA2 week/

This week is the busiest week..Muhd will be having his CA2. So revision, revision and revision. As usual, he enjoyed doing English & Maths but when it comes to Malay...koyak rabak!!! Now Abah is calling his cikgu friends to find out where to get hold of good Malay CD-Roms. For those who looking, drop in www.cybermelayu.com and you find help there!

By the way, congratulations to Muhammad for 'naik' Quran....keep up the good work!

Danish, being as he is always is, will show to us that he too can read (by looking at the pictures rather than words). Sometimes, the story went out of context because his imagination will take over the actual words.
Today he was initiative but alas for a wrong reason. He 'tersedak' when drinking water so he decided that he would give himself cough medicine. Lucky, he told Muhd who told us...so kena spanking lah.

Girl, as usual, will sibuk here & there. She loves to read aloud...especially 'Twinkle, twinkle little star'. One day she can read Danish's books.

/Charlie & The Chocolate Factory/

Last Sunday, we went to Johor City Square to watch Charlie & Chocolate Factory. Actually, mummy went to watch all by herself on Friday but since Muhammad bought the book in Perth and had finished reading it, we all decided to watch. Since the show started at 5.45 pm, Abah brought us all to Karaoke first. Sing and sing until we 3 children fell asleep esp. when Abah started singing all his fave Malay songs.

Surprisingly, not many JB people watching the show. Most went to watch other stories. We were the only ones who laughed out loud. Muhammad even danced (just like the oompas-loompas)!!!

If only there is such a place like the factory where everything is chocolates & candy. We will be one of the first persons to volunteer and live there...ha ha ha!

This guy (Johnny Depp) is Mummy's fave actor.

/Arrival from Perth/

ZZZZZZ...got to wake up very the early to fetch the boys and geng back from their trip to Perth. The alarm rang at 4.30 am. Girl refused to wake up so we had to carry her to the car. Our car washer was surprised to see us at the carpark very the early so he had to skip washing our car that day.
Since I checked the arrival time on the internet, we did not have to wait long. The plane had already landed. After 10 mins, they were out!!
Muhammad bought "Charlie & Chocolate Factory" book while Danish thought that he had just returned from Africa!! Poor Danish! Probably because of the change of weather (over there was very cold), he's having fever. Not much of a traveller he is! I remembered the last time we went Tioman, he kept vomiting but upon reaching Singapore, he became well!
Abah said the trip was too short for him to miss the boys but one thing for sure, we saved our voices from shouting. The only shouts that we heard was from Sabryna!!

/Airport sendoff../

Yeah..the day arrived when the kids flew their way to Perth for a break. Left Mummy,Abah & Sabryna behind to enjoy peace & quiet (as if...girl alone can break our ear drums!!). Fais & family arrived at the airport first padahal his flight to Japan was only scheduled at 7.30pm. But because the keghairahan, Bapak made sure that everyone left early. In the end, they had to wait very the long just to make sure that Fais get checked in properly!!

Fais took us aback when he salam & kiss mother!!! Everyone was really caught off guard plus we did not have the time to take the photo too!! Bapak sampai called Atiq, Wani & Yani back from walking towards the toilet!! So hilarious!! Fais, Fais...you one lucky dude..tak kerja and tak masuk NS, still can get to Japan. On the 21st Aug, he's flying off to Palembang pulak!! Jealous semua org!

To my two boys, Mummy wish you will have lots of fun over there. Muhammad, try to recall the places that you have been there 8 years ago (as if he can remember...was only 3 months old when he went there with Mummy!). Plus Danish...don't keep thinking about going back to school on Monday to attend the party. Can't fly you back in time!! Too bad you got to miss it!!

Everyone especially Bapak was quite worried plus excited about Fais going to Japan. Just look at him sitting at the airport's floor. After the sending off, we drove everyone to see the site of Bedok kampung and eat at Bedok corner hawker centre. Abg get to reminisced the good ole kampung days just like what Mak always do when we drove around there. Abah sampai ingat where to go and which corner to turn to..ha ha ha!

/Kent Ridge Park-Climbathon 2005/

Last Sunday, since Abah was invited to lead the warm-up session for Ar-Raudhah's Climbathon 2005 at Kent Ridge Park, we left very early. The boys slept over at Bibik Wani & Atiq house so that they can take the lorry to Madrasah. Managed to liase with my girlfriend, Hazlinah, to send the boys to Kent Ridge. The warm-up session was alright..Abah did it better in Malay rather than English. I saw that MP Ang Mo Seng looked please with the warm-ups. We went through the 20-minute walk. Sabryna's photo was taken by photographer since she looked so cute walking. Later, we had lunch with Halimah Yaacob who looked very down-to-earth. We were entertained by the auctioning of kids' drawings. Surprisingly, the consolation drawing won the highest bid! We headed home to rest but went out later to Plaza Singapura for dinner and shopping. Bought the boys woolen caps to bring to Australia this Saturday.
