Last Sunday was a lazy day. Wanted to go to Kent Ridge Park in the morning but boy...this is the first Sunday I get to wake up late (NO MADRASAH!!!). So afternoon came, we decided to have our lunch at Restoran Saujana (so called Kelong style). But on the way, it was raining cats & dogs so we took refuge at Jurong Point where we had our lunch. Hafiz was so greedy that he ate 2 dishes!!! By the time we finished, the rain also stopped so we continued our way down by the 2nd link. Since Hafiz's passport is so near the expiry date, we had to seek permission from the M'sian immigration officer to enter.

The restaurant is kelong style...so naturally on top of the sea. We saw a lot of mud skippers (but mother said could be anak ikan haruan). We ate chilli crab (ketam bangkang), ikan kerapu masak tiga rasa, udang goreng, tom yam soup and even get to packet 1 kg of chilli crab (this time, flower crabs). All in all plus drinks and Mamee, we spent RM149. Not bad huh???!! Surprisingly Hafiz wanted to do some photo posing..probably enjoying himself after the exams now that he has officially ended school and waiting to enter NS in July.

This was so-called late birthday lunch celebration for mother's birthday on Saturday. Oh yes, she is now enjoying the Oto Feet Massager everyday. Zohri & Hambali even sent her flowers and mango cake which we all enjoyed eating. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

/Saturday is Mak's birthday!/

Finally the day has come...Mak's birthday which will be on Saturday. I still have not bought any gift yet although I have make several phone calls. But I have narrowed down to one gift plus.....shhhh..(don't tell anyone)...the gift that I am going to purchase tomorrow (I hope or I better!!) comes with 2 free gifts. Hee hee!! Make good friend with the salesman (can you imagine, over a phone call only). I purposely sounded very distressed and urgent so he booked one for me to pick up tomorrow. Must drama a bit to get a lot!!

/KL Soccer Trip-Vesak Day weekend/

What a lonnnnng weekend! We went to KL to see Abah played soccer with 'Pilihan Artis Malaysia'(PAM). The only person that we recognised was Dahlan Zainuddin. The rest don't know who. Heard from my best friend who is working with 'ABU'at RTM Angkasapuri that Taufik Batisah also came to town but he went back already. Yeah...Abah scored the goal but we lost out to them anyway. They scored 3 goals all because of the goalkeeper!! Hmmm but then all jet lag lah. We did not have time to check into the hotel which was by the way..The Grand Seasons Hotel (supposedly the tallest hotel in KL).
After dinner we went down to Chow Kit (which is not the same as last time..boring & merepek). We had an early night sleep so that we can be fresh for Sunway Lagoon. At Sunway, we managed to take the hanging bridge, finally! Very the scary!! Worst than the macRitchie Tree Top Bridge!
We had our lunch at Sushi King @ Sunway Parade. Did not want to wait for the rest of the group. TOO SLOW!! Oh..we also met Kavitha (but she went shopping) and family.
Mak and her 'tour group' consisting of grandmother and aunts stayed at a condo..and we heard that grandma & Mak Iti went missing at KLCC!!! We had wanted to surprise them at KTM station at 9 pm but too tired! We even backed from the night trip to Petaling Street.
Went back home tired but ok ok. Ate a few ikan keli at Nilai 3. Reached home and received sms from boss to come to office to settle the PO from Vietnam. So have to sleep earlylah!!!!

Yesterday was Hafiz's birthday. The kidz sang him a birthday song over the phone and we took everybody out for dinner at Swensen's Orchard.Since it was his 21st birthday, this year he wanted 'gentleman' wallet and shoes.

Danish and Sabryna sang him another birthday song at Swensen's and he was so embarrassed.
To Hafiz...enjoy your 'freedom' while it last. In June, you going to be a 'man' (NS man) and make Selarang Camp as your 'first' home!! Ha Ha!!

/1st day on a new job./

Today I started working in my new working place at Manhattan House. Anybody who's not familiar with the Singapore buildings, it is just behind Chinatown. I get to shop at OG during lunch time. Since the director just came back from HK last night, I had to report late. I was able to catch up with the things that I am supposed to be in charge and he belanja me soya bean curd for tea break. I lost no time in making new friends who are working at the nearby offices.

Now listening to Sabryna and Danish playing together around me. Very noisy bunch!! Kept crying and shouting. Muhammad and Abah are going through revision since this week is his SA1. Good luck to you my boy!!!

To all mothers in the family...wishing you all HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

PS. One mum staying at Geylang Bahru will be cooking chilli crab for her family for dinner today. Accompanied with a bowl of fresh salad with Thousand Island dressing and dessert will be fresh strawberries dip in chocolate sauce. The food will be accompanied with sparkling non-alcoholic grape juice & PEPSI (for mummy only!).

/Special tribute to my President Idol/

When I turned on the radio at Gelang Patah yesterday evening, I heard the saddest news of the week. Dr Wee (the former President) has passed away in the early morning of the May Day holiday. If Singapore were to have a President Idol, I would choose him to be my idol. In fact, when he was the President, I had made a point to attend all the National Day Parades. Having his presence was one of the main highlight of the event. I don't know him personally but with his presence during the events somehow or other made me proud having him as the head of state. He has the grandfather's (to me) presence, a homey presence. I have never met him personally, only on TV or at the Parade. He admitting that he is a 'student' of the 'University of Life' is truly inspiring. He is one of the few people that have made a special impact in my life.

Today was Tarmizi's (anak Nyai Ju=my uncle) nikah day. It was suppossed to start at 9pm at Tampines Street 72 but Kadi Sallim lost his way. After the solemnization, we headed back to Geylang to have our dinner cum supper plus chat with the grandmamas. Danish spilled his drink on the table since he was busy promoting to Danial. But later, he kena kicked by little Sabryna. So his teeth got blood and he cried followed by Sabryna too. Since it was late, we headed back home to prepare for tomorrow journey to Melaka.
